Her father Rob Walker said he was proud of his daughter. As Teleah is only 11-years-old he said she has done incredibly well to make the squad.
Teleah is one of 45 players who make up the state squad.
She will attend trials in Newcastle on July 15 where 32 players will be selected to form two state teams to compete in the national competition in Perth.
Teleah plays the position of goalkeeper and Mr Walker said it is a very high pressure spot.
However he said Teleah stays calm during the games and focuses on her job.
“She protects the goal net like it’s her castle and the team like they’re her family,” he said.
Teleah is one of seven children and her family is also involved in the Camden Haven Hockey Club.
Mr Walker is assistant coach for Teleah’s team and said he loves being involved in the club.
