Dr Gillespie said the funding would be provided to the Kendall Men’s Shed for a project to purchase tools and equipment as part of the government’s Veteran and Community Grants Program.
“This grant program is aimed at improving the quality of life for veterans and their families in Kendall by providing funding for projects that support the local veteran community,” he said.
“The Kendall Men’s Shed has a well-deserved reputation for its commitment to improving the lives of veterans and their families and honouring the service and sacrifice of all Australians who have served in defence of our nation.
“I encourage ex-service and community organisations, veteran groups and private organisations in the Lyne electorate that contribute to the health and welfare of the veteran community to apply for funding through the DVA Veteran and Community Grants program.”
