The banner was presented to the RDA Kendall branch president Elizabeth Wallace on July 19 at the Laurieton United Services Club.
“it’s beautiful,” Ms Wallace said when she thanked the group’s members for their contribution.
The banner will travel with the RDA Kendall branch for different events.
“Your work will be shown all around town and the state,” Ms Wallace said.
The LUSC Friendship Quilters designed the banner using the RDA emblem.
LUSC Friendship Quilters president Yvon Buxton said it was a team effort to piece together the banner as it is quite a process.
Ms Wallace came to one of the group’s meetings where she gave a talk to the ladies.
She said when she found out they were making a banner it was a lovely surprise.
Ms Buxton said the group makes a lot of quilts for charities.
“We’re helping the whole community,” she said.
