As a result, some of the best junior female golfers will take to the fairways at Port Macquarie this weekend for a development camp.
The camp is also supported by Jack Newton Junior Golf and provides an opportunity for young golfers to enhance their skills and meet new friends.
Junior co-ordinator Catherine Robinson said the camp created a fun environment.
“All the girls have an opportunity to progress to a level they are comfortable with,” she said.
“Some of the girls range from seven to 16 years of age and they have handicaps from beginners to those with a handicap of seven.”

Robinson said they aimed to have three development camps a year.
The development camp is open to any girls under the age of 18 years who reside in the region and no prior experience is required.
Coaching will be conducted on Saturday by professional coaches Brendan Barnes and James Single.
The aim of the camp is to get more girls participating in sport and to learn new skills in a fun environment.
