Defensively the Kendall Blues could not have put in much better of a performance in their 16-14 defeat of the Comboyne Tigers on Saturday, September 2. The Kendall Blues are the first team into the Hastings League grand final. 

The new kids on the Hastings League block, Laurieton Hotel Stingrays, have been bustled out of the competition in spectacular fashion by the Lower Macleay Magpies. Despite a strong effort in their first finals appearance, the Stingrays were no match for their much more experienced opponents, crashing to a 50-4 defeat on Saturday, September 2.
