The visit is part of the federally funded Australia-Asia Bridge School Partnerships Project, aimed at developing intercultural understanding and strengthen international relationships.
An official welcome for those from SMPN 16 Singkawang will take place at Camden Haven High School on Tuesday October 24 at 10am.
Visitors will experience the splendour of our local area with a day out on Wednesday October 25 where they will visit Billabong Zoo and the Koala hospital, ride camels on the beach, and learn about our flora and fauna at Sea Acres.
“We hope this good relationship will continue into the future,” said Risma Purnama, principal of the Indonesian school.
“It is important for both schools, both countries.”
The trip follows a visit of ten students and three teachers from Camden Haven High School to Indonesia in May.
