Its first meeting will be at 9am this Sunday, October 22, in the Timbertown campground area.
Club spokesman and heritage park owner David Waite is excited about this new group.
“I think there needed to be a right time to launch a new club and that time has come. From an initial gathering of several interested people, we wanted to create a club that catered for a diverse range of interests, in an unparalleled environment.
“The club will cater for steam, model engineering, heritage machinery, historic vehicles including trucks, cars, and we have applied for club plates for registration,” he said.
Mr Waite said Timbertown has thousands of items within its grounds and new members could choose to become custodian of an item, including vehicles, taking away the need of owning an item already.
“We have a 10 year vision of creating a world class exhibition hall to be known as “The Engineerium” and we believe that will become a very special place.
“So interested peeople are welcome to come on down this Sunday to gather more information, meet other interested people and enjoy some breakfast and a cuppa,” he said.
