According to meteorologist with weatherzone Rob Sharpe, a low pressure system currently sitting off the coast is generating showers to our south, with a very slight chance of some falls here overnight.
“That system will move further away on Thursday and Friday which will see a general warming in temperatures,” he said.
“Thursday’s maximum is forecast for 24 degrees while Friday will be two degrees higher.
“However, a new front will move along the NSW coastline late on Friday and reaching the Port Macquarie-Hastings area on Saturday morning.
“A trough associated with that front will linger off the Port Macquarie coast for a couple of days.
“This will see the possible chance of showers late on Saturday evening or night but there will be quite a few showers moving through the area on Sunday.”
Mr Sharpe said Saturday would see long, dry spells for much of the day.
The maximum temperature for Saturday is 24 degrees. Sunday’s maximum is likely to reach just 21 degrees.
“Hopefully it doesn’t ruin too many peoples’ weekends,” the meteorologist said.
