The Camden Haven community has helped to raise money for Variety - the Children’s Charity through support of the Postie Bike Dash.

Forty postie bike riders took part in the Variety Postie Bike Dash through regional NSW over six days from November 5 until November 10.
The posties stopped by Oasis By The River restaurant in North Haven for their first overnight stay before departing on November 6. The ride concludes in Newcastle on November 10.
The campaign aims to raise more than $135,000 for kids living with disabilities, chronic illness or who are facing financial or geographic disadvantage.
First National North Haven raised $966 through a raffle and colouring-in competition to co-inside with the Postie Bike Dash.
First National North Haven principal Stewart O’Brien also donated $1000 to the charity.
“It was a successful event and a great cause that First National were proud to be part of,” he said.
“All the best to the riders on the remainder of their journey.”
Mr O’Brien thanked the community and the sponsors of the raffle including Ingenia Holidays Bonny Hills, Oasis By The River, Billabong Zoo, Bonny Hills Garden Centre, Beach Town Surf, Laurieton United Services Club, Kew Country Club and Kmart Port Macquarie.
Variety – the Children’s Charity head of regional development Jason Bourke said Variety Postie Bike Dash is a fun way for those with a sense of adventure to help ensure kids in need in regional areas like the Hunter, Mid North Coast and New England get a fair go in life.
“The money raised by our posties goes a long way to giving the schools visited vital resources such as sensory and play equipment, reading systems and specialist computers which they might not otherwise have access to,” he said.
