Feedback on 2017/2018 Laura Place Reserve upgrade in Lakewood, Laurieton

The Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is seeking community feedback on a plan to upgrade Laura Place Reserve in Lakewood, Laurieton.

New features for the playground will include a new flying fox, swing set with toddler seat, spinners and picnic table.

Key objectives for the upgrade include more shade and seating, diversity of equipment the addition of natural play elements and upgraded softfall and edging.

The Port Macquarie-Hastings Council maintains 66 playgrounds across the municipality. Laurieton Oval (or Vince Inmon Oval Playground) in Castle Street, Laurieton is also scheduled for an upgrade in the 2017/2018 operational plan. 

A Port Macquarie-Hastings Council spokesperson said about $80,000 had been allocated for each playground project in the Camden Haven under the 2017/2018 operational plan.
