Kendall Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) has received $1000 from the Laurieton Vintage Motor Club which will be used for equipment, horse care and ongoing maintenance.

The funding was raised by the Laurieton Vintage Motor Club from its inaugural event Old Skool Kruz in September.
About 40 participants with a wide variety of vintage or modern cars and bikes left Laurieton United Services Club and rode to Wauchope on September 24. All money raised from the rally was donated to the Kendall RDA.
Laurieton Vintage Motor Club secretary Ralph Dixon said considering the event was the club’s first one it was very successful.
“We plan on having another one (event) next year and we’ve learnt how to make it bigger and better,” he said.
Mr Dixon thanked all the volunteers who helped out on the day including people from Kendall RDA.
Ian Chapman from Kendall RDA said the funding from the club would be going towards updating the association’s location, riding equipment and the care of five horses.
“It’s about $3000 a horse to take care of every year,” he said.
“The money is very welcome and we’re very appreciative of the Laurieton Vintage Motor Club for the donation.”
Mr Dixon thanked Laurieton United Services Club, Fenn Real Estate Tamworth, Kew Produce, Delizioso Italian Restaurant, Dunbogan Boat Shed, Camden Haven Motorcycles, Penrite Oils, Shannons Insurance, Laurieton Cellars, Village Cafe, Healing Hands Massage Clinic and Laurieton Cycles for support.
