Shania recently graduated from year 12 at Camden Haven High School and attended the Hastings Sport Awards as a Junior Sports Person of the Year in the High School Division.
Shania received an excellence award to recognise her achievements in equestrian.

As a member of the Camden Haven Pony Club she received Dressage Rider of the Year, Overall Girl Winner of the Year and the Sportsmanship of the Year Award.
Her dedication to the sport has secured her a job in the industry working at Silverthorn Stock Horse Stud in Gloucester. Her work involves general maintenance of horses to ensure their health and welfare.
Shania has been working casually at the stud establishment since 2015 dedicating her weekends and holidays to training and working towards her achievements.
At the Sydney Royal Show Shania received first place in a ridden hack class and second in Australian Stock Horse Ladies Association ridden class.
Shania said there is a dangerous side to the sport.
“My coach and trainer has instilled in me the message of safety first,” she said.
Shania doesn’t really get nervous before competing.
“I always go into the ring with confidence and determination,” she said.
It is Shania’s dream to one day represent Australia in equestrian.
Shania thanked the school for allowing her to complete her HSC while taking time off for competitions and shows.
Shania also obtained a Statement of Attainment in Horse Industry Practice at TAFE which counted towards her final school marks.
