Wed, 9.32am: A man has sustained serious head injuries after being hit by a truck on Ocean Drive.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the southern side of Bonny Hills at about 8:10am on Wednesday morning.
Within three minutes, paramedics arrived to treat the 33 year old.
Screech marks and blood remain on the tar, where it appears a truck, heading south, struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the road.
Ambulance NSW said the man has sustained serious head injuries.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was sent to assist, but local paramedics arrived first.
The helicopter is now en route to Port Macquarie Base Hospital, where the man was taken, and will take him to a major trauma hospital if needed.
More information as it comes to hand.
