An average of 101mm of rain has fallen during the past 27 hours to noon today. Rain has eased considerably in the last 3 hours.
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted that the Hastings River will now peak at 3.00mts at the Kindee Gauge around 7pm tonight.
This will cause minor flooding in low lying areas in the upper Hastings River area.
The NSW SES recommends the following actions:
- Impacted residents should be aware of possible isolation that could affect their work, family & educational commitments.
- If your property is potentially at risk of inundation and river levels continue to rise, prepare to raise moveable items, such as furniture, as high as possible onto benches or tables, placing electrical items on top.
- If you live in a low-lying area and are advised by an emergency services officer to evacuate, please do so.
- Do not drive, walk or ride in flood waters.

10am: Flooding is predicted for the Mid-North Coast on Wednesday, but is likely to ease on Thursday.
The heaviest rain fell on Port Macquarie on Wednesday morning, with most falls predicted to move north as the day progresses.
Port Macquarie recorded 36 millimetre in the 24 hours to 9am, but much larger falls were reported nearby.
There is a minor flood warning for the Hastings River at Kindee Bridge (3.0 metres) around 5pm Wednesday.
Weatherzone's Ben McBurney said regions to the north and west, away from the coastal fringe, were the hardest hit.
"And the amounts you've seen can lead to flash flooding, as well as riverine flooding," Mr McBurney said.
Comboyne was at the greatest risk after being inundated with 172 mm in 24 hours, including 8 mm in one 10 minute period overnight.
Kempsey has also received a soaking of 100 mm in 24 hours.
Wednesday morning's showers in Port Macquarie should be the last of the heavier stuff.
"The rain will be much more scattered as it moves north to Coffs Harbour and onto the Northern Rivers," Mr McBurney said.
Riverine flooding is unavoidable for some of the Mid-North Coast, but should ease as on Thursday as conditions abate.
