A workshop this week will refresh volunteer skills and help those who support the organisation to continue their good work.
Riding will commence at the Kendall centre on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from March 3. New riders are welcome and additional volunteers are always appreciated.
“We generally have between 25 and 35 riders participating each week, which is terrific,” RDA president Elizabeth Wallace said.
Volunteer roles are many and varied.
“Age is no barrier and no horse experience is necessary,” Elizabeth said.
For horse-lovers there are hands-on tasks like grooming and leading, as well as rider-focused or administrative roles for those not so keen to get close to the action.
RDA’s Kendall centre is located at 158 Batar Creek Road, Kendall.
To find out more about riding, phone Elizabeth Wallace on 6559 8774 or to become involved as a supporter or volunteer, phone Kathy Broadbent on 0423 854 174.
RDA’s annual general meeting will be held at Kendall Citizens Club on Friday March 27 at 9.30am. All welcome.
