The local club ended up placing 9th overall and were only six points short of being in 7th place.
One of the most pleasing aspects of the club's performance was the broad range of events contested by members. The club was successful in winning medals in surf boat, march past, R&R, surf races, board and ski, surf board riding and beach events.
The team of ninety five competitors did the club proud not only with their medal winning performances but in the sportsmanship and club spirit displayed. It was one of the most enjoyable Championship carnivals ever! Members backed up on numerous occasions ensuring maximum points towards the club's overall result.
The club owes a huge thankyou to all of the families, friends and supporters who travelled to South West Rocks to assist and encourage all of the competitors.
A number of members will now continue training for the NSW State Championship's at Umina Beach on the Central Coast in March and the Australian Championship's at Maroochydore/Alexandra Headlands/Mooloolaba on Queensland's Sunshine Coast in April.
