Sponsored by Enriched Health Care Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology and OHBS, the senior races include a short course triathlon (500m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run) and the flagship Olympic distance race (1.5km swim, 40km ride and 10km run) which is open to both individuals and teams.
Hosted by the Port Macquarie Triathlon Club with assistance from Camden Haven volunteers, the event is hotly-contested for club points and prize-money.
Port Macquarie Triathlon Club vice-president, David Craddock, said the senior races catered for all ages and abilities.
“There will also be some friendly rivalry between local club triathletes as they chase valuable championship points in the senior races which start at 7am on the Sunday,” Craddock said.
