THE Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club inducted two new life members at its presentation on Saturday night.
Veteran competitor and clubman Greg Jamieson and hardworking trainer and administrator Peter Daniels will have their names etched into club folklore after they joined the illustrious group.
Fellow boatie and life member Manfred Sonntag read Jamieson's citation, noting his long association with the club within the boatie fraternity.
"And he's won a gold medal at the world masters too," Sonntag said.
Jamieson has held numerous positions within the club's structure and has represented the club for several years.
Like many men of his ilk, Greg's family has also been actively involved with the club, as active patrolling members, competitors and Nippers supporters.
Along with Jamieson, the second inductee was Peter Daniels, who has spent over 740 hours on the beach as a patrol volunteer.
"Peter has held senior positions on the club executive since 2005, and been heavily involved with the club's training and youth development programs," said former club president, Richard McGovern.
"He has also played a valuable role promoting the club through the media and ensuring the Wauchope and Bonny Hills communities have maintained their engagement and support for the club."
Daniels' contribution over many years to fundraising programs and the campaign to gain funding for the new clubhouse were also acknowledged on the night.
