Fancy finding out more about farm and farmers?
Well you will soon be able to explore the lesser-known roads around the region, and meet farmers and experience local farming life on homesteads not usually open to the public.
The Hastings Landcare Farm Gate Tour is a self-drive program in the Hastings, Port Macquarie and Camden Haven area, with farm tours at set times over three days - Saturday June 11, Sunday June 12 and Monday June 13.
Organiser Kerry Wehlburg says historically the tour attracts visits from Sydney north to the Hastings area.
"Ten farms will be opening their gates; including a pasture raised egg business, farms growing garlic, avocados, a cattle stud enterprise and more."
The tour costs $30 per car, and tickets and guide booklets are available from May 24 at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie, Ecowild at 21 High Street in Wauchope and at the Hastings Landcare Office at 44 Cameron Street in Wauchope, or you can go online https://www.hastingslandcare.org.au
