After 18 years continuous operation serving the community and visitors, the Camden Haven Neighbourhood Centre looks to be in danger of closing its doors due to lack of funds to cover ongoing operational costs.
Services such as free Tax Help to low income earners, help with access to legal, medical and social support services, a placement option for Newstart clients to meet their voluntary obligations, an access point for Seniors Papers and other publications including tourist information maps and brochures are in danger of being lost.
The centre is open Monday to Friday between 9am-1pm in the School of Arts Building on the corner of Bold and Laurie Streets in Laurieton. If you can help, ideally by sponsoring, phone 6559 5676.
