Paulson was sent of in the match against Long Flat on May 22 for abusing referee Rod Copp.
He faced four charges – the use of offensive language, disputing an official's decision, behaving in an offensive manner and spitting at the official.
The suspension covers all competitions.
Hastings League president Corey Richardson told the Port Macquarie News they had a zero tolerance level for abuse of officials.
It was a busy night for the judiciary.
From the same match, Aidan Ellison was sent off for dissent and received a six-week suspension while Nathan Allan was cited for running onto the field of play off the reserve bench to get involved in a melee and also received a six-week ban.
