Two local AFL players have gained selection in a representative site to take on Northern Coast on July 7 and 8.
Mitchell Hunt and Reuben Gammon will line up for the Mid North Coast under 15 side. Hunt, 14, and Gammon,15, have impressed the selectors with the quality of their performances across the season.
The carnival, which is to be played at Bateau Bay on the Central Coast, will comprise players from across the entire Northern NSW region, including Central Coast, Hunter, Mid North Coast, North Coast, Northern Rivers, and New England (Tamworth AFL).
AFL North Coast Football Operations Co-ordinator, Paul Taylor said that the representative carnival will feature the best underage players living between the Hawkesbury and Tweed Rivers.
“The talent on display will be outstanding, and the matches will be quality affairs,” Taylor said. This year’s carnival is being held at Bateau Bay on the Central Coast on Thursday July 7 and Friday July 8.
