The inspirational Kathryn Stephens has reached another milestone, becoming Rotary Club of Wauchope’s incoming President.
She says she’s honoured and humbled, and looks forward to furthering Rotary’s ideal of service above self. And Kathryn is excited to join thousands of Rotarians world-wide in the fight against polio.
“There are only 17 reported cases of the wild polio virus left and Rotarians are determined to see this virus stamped out – what an exciting day that will be.”
Nothing has stopped Kathryn achieving her goals. She has spent 20 years with a four-legged guide by her side.
On holiday from her role as an agribusiness economist with a Big Four bank, Kathryn was left totally blind at the age of 24, after a collision with a semi-trailer.
She is now a mindset coach, helping people realise their potential and lead fulfilling lives.
Kathryn is also involved in mentoring youth, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, Sailability and Hastings Business Women’s Network.
And her guide-dog, Gulliver, is proud to wear a Rotary badge on his harness.
