The month of July has been extremely busy for Camden Haven Pony Club (CHPC), with the five girls attending the State show riding and dressage held from July 2-10 at Bicentennial Equestrian Park Camden.
The first week the riders experienced horrific weather with plummeting temperatures and strong winds, but it didn’t deter our team.
Sara and Zoe Lucas received fourth in team of fours, Zoe also awarded third in her hack class, Tamika Roach came home with a fifth and ninth in dressage, with Millie Lucas and Shania Madden having a fantastic experience amongst some outstanding riders and horses.
On June 26 Wingham Pony Club held a Gymkhana Trophy day, with seven CHPC riders attending on a very cold morning. Zoe Groth was back in the saddle and excited to be riding again. Lacy Fitzgerald received Reserve Champion Rider, Molly, Hollie, Macey, Holly and Chloe on her new horse Banshee all had a fantastic day.
On July 17 CHPC held a Trophy Day with over 60 riders attending from around the district.
The weather started out with drizzling rain for the hack and rider classes but organisers were determined not to cancel again. Fortunately the sun shone for the sporting and show jumping.
