School staff and students hosted a visit from members of the Laurieton Branch of Rotary last week.
A generous donation from Rotary enabled the construction of a shade shelter near the school canteen.
“It is a place for students to enjoy when in the playground and will also be utilised as an outdoor learning space by all classes,” said school principal Jodie Paterson.
Rotary President Graham Hare presented a cheque to the school leaders, Jasmine O’Brien and Jaspa Calicetto who thanked the organisations for being such great supporters of the school.
Mrs Paterson thanked Rotary for their ongoing support.
“Our school is very privileged to be supported by such a hardworking and dedicated organisation.”
Mrs Paterson also thanked the Kendall Men’s Shed for contributing to the new learning space by making beautiful outdoor tables.
“We are very lucky to have so many productive connections with local organisations who are so willing to support the children of our community,” Mrs Paterson said.
