THREE Camden Haven teams have walked away as Hastings Valley Netball Association grand final champions.
The undefeated Camden Haven Manta Rays played the Port Combined Meteors in the 10B division. The score was locked at 8 all at full time, causing the teams to play an extra five minutes each way. Still locked in a draw, both teams had to draw deep after the 10 minutes of extra time to play an extra three minutes each way – again they were tied. The next team to be ahead by two goals won – the Manta Rays beat the Meteors 13-11.
Next to take to the court were the undefeated Camden Haven Seals in the 11b division to take on The Saints CTC Accountant. Piper, Katelyn and Catherine played a strong defensive game. Molly, Jessica, Zara and Chanel worked strongly in the centre court and gave Zarla and Isabel great opportunities to get goal after goal - reaching a total of 28-7.
The third grand finalists were Camden Haven Hot Shots playing for Division 4 against the Wauchope Robins. Gabby, Lukka and Jordan put up amazing defence. Running the centre court was Mickayla, Michaela and Ebony who covered the court and worked the ball up to the circle fantastically. The shooting team made up of Brittany and Eve smashed their goals, with a 44-21 result.
