THE Port Macquarie Beer and Cider Festival is back for its second year, and organiser Jason Clifton says the event has something for everyone.
“It’s not just your ordinary beer and cider event, for people 18-years-old and over,” he said.
“It’s not just about sitting around and drinking, we encourage people to come and have a fun day out as there are plenty of activities for everyone.”
“In saying that we do have a big range of high quality beer and cider available for those who want to drink on the day.”
Mr Clifton said the four metre inflatable slide, which was a hit with children last year will be back again.
“There will also be putt putt golf and giant jenga,” he said.
A mechanical bull will also be on show for people to put their rodeo skills to the test.
This year the festival will also host a new keg roll team event, in addition to the popular keg toss event which took place last year.
“The keg roll requires a group of four people registering online or on the day,” Mr Clifton said.
“Each team member will roll the keg around a set course through obstacles and the fastest team will take out the top spot.”

Mr Clifton said he hoped people had been doing their stretches, in preparation for the event.
Last year the festival received a lot of rain, but this year Mr Clifton said the weather is forecast to be clear skies with a top of 23 degrees.
He said there will be six vans offering a variety of eats to please all the foodies on the day.
A diverse range of brewers including Four Pines Brewing Company, Stone and Wood and Pirate Life Brewing will also be in attendance.
A number of music groups are set to provide entertainment on the day.
This year about 3000 people are expected to attend the event, which is over double the amount of attendees from last year.
The gates to the event at Westport Park open at 11am and the bar will open at 11.30am.
Mr Clifton said there will be a relaxed atmosphere on the day, perfect for a family outing on the weekend.
He encourages people to take advantage of the festival's bus service, especially if they plan to consume alcohol.
