The vote was unanimous and Cr Intemann was elected unopposed as deputy mayor during the first council meeting of the new term.
“It is an honour and a privilege to represent the community as deputy mayor and I thank the mayor and councillors for their confidence,” Cr Intemann said.

Voters at the September 10 poll re-elected Peter Besseling as mayor and returned councillors Rob Turner, Michael Cusato, Justin Levido, Sharon Griffiths, Geoff Hawkins and Lisa Intemann.
The two new councillors are Peter Alley and Lee Dixon.
