Camden Haven Concert Band
On Sunday, October 23, spend a pleasant afternoon listening to music provided by the Camden Haven Concert Band.
Their concert – ‘Music – a Life Journey’ includes a wide genre of musical styles from marches, pop, musicals and classics.
A performance of ‘Concerto for Clarinet and Military Band (1878)’ written by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov will be a highlight with guest soloist Terry Stanton on clarinet. Terry has always wanted to perform this piece of music with a band. Following discussions with Iain Pole, our musical director, his dream has become a reality.
In addition, we are featuring performances from some of our Year 12 students. They have recently completed their HSC Music studies and have been involved with the concert band for many years. They started their musical journeys in local primary school band programs and progressed to participation in a variety of local bands and orchestras.
Come and celebrate music – a life long journey with the band – Sunday 23 October, 2pm at the Laurieton School of Arts. Tickets available at the door - $10 adults and $5 children – afternoon tea included.
