
Police are appealing to the public for assistance to locate a man who may be able to assist police, following an armed robbery in Wauchope overnight.
Just before 10pm, Sunday, November 6, police were called to a service station on High Street, Wauchope following reports of an armed robbery.
Police have been told that while an employee was standing outside the service station, closing and locking the petrol bowsers, a man approached the employee armed with a handgun.
The man took cigarettes and a sum of cash before fleeing the store.
No-one was injured during the incident.
He was last seen running in an easterly direction on High Street.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
Police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s, approximately 175cm, and of slim build.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded top, black skinny jeans and dark coloured shoes.
