People gathered at headlands and beaches across the Mid North Coast to capture the supermoon as it rose above the horizon.  

There was a crowd of well over 100 people gathered at Tacking Point Lighthouse at Port Macquarie to witness the phenomenon.

Anticipation was huge for the much-hyped lunar light show... Supermoon to light up the sky 

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t playing the game with widespread cloud cover and rain across the region.

But some managed to capture glimpses in between cloud drifts and they kindly shared their photos for this gallery.
