
Busways in Port Macquarie is making a stand against violence on Friday, November 25 with their fleet emblazoned with the White Ribbon logo.
Busways is supporting White Ribbon by encouraging employees and the public to “stand up, speak out and act to prevent men’s violence against women”.
White Ribbon decals are being placed on all Busways buses from Blacktown to Yamba in hopes of raising awareness.
The organisation has also provided sponsorship to various White Ribbon Day including the White Ribbon Coastal Walk in Port Macquarie.
“I am proud that Busways has placed so much importance on supporting and raising awareness for White Ribbon Day not just on the day it’s celebrated but beyond,” said Steven Hawkins, Busways group operations support manager.
The White Ribbon Coastal Walk will be held in Port Macquarie on Sunday, November 27. The walk kicks off at Lighthouse Beach from 7.30am and ends on Town Green.
