The Grand United Order of Odd Fellows (G.U.O.O.F) at their Conference held at the North Haven Bowling Club on Thursday November 24 presented to representatives from the Camden Haven Historical Society a silver fob watch.
This watch was originally presented to Brother W.I. Smedley on July 26 1907 as a token of esteem, for services rendered. Brother Smedley had been the secretary of “The Mountain Home Lodge” No. 5615 for a number of years and was leaving the district.
Representatives for G.U.O.O.F. advised this watch was found at their Grand Lodge and they saw fit that this artefact should be donated to the Laurieton Museum for safe keeping.
The Historical Society were most grateful for this donation and it is now on display at the museum.
