Club North Haven are looking towards the future with a change to the club owned and operated Haven Waters Motel and Apartments.
“The club purchased the motel in 2003 and spent a lot of time and effort upgrading the facilities and appliances over the years,” said sports and marketing manager Shane Globits.
“There has been a number of managers over this time, but none better than Ron and Jo Payne who have been managing the motel for the past five and a half years.”
Some time ago Ron and Jo advised the board and management of Club North Haven that they were looking to move on to other ventures.
“The motel is such a great asset to the club, we did not want to lose it, however this also brought about the opportunity to lease the motel but still own the property. The board and management decided this move was best for the future of both Club North Haven and the motel.
“The club sold the leasehold of the motel which has given the club an initial cash injection and a constant form of fixed revenue in the form of rent with no more outgoings such as maintenance and wages.
“Nathan and Anna Battersby this month became the proud new lease owners. They are a young couple from Brisbane with a bright future and some fantastic new and fresh ideas.
“They are keen to continue the relationship with the club and offer and support the member discounts and room charge back system currently in place. We welcome Nathan and Anna to our community and wish Ron and Jo all the best for their future endeavours.”
