It was the usual cosy, local Christmas get together organised by the Kendall Men's Shed at the show ground last Saturday evening. A sausage sizzle got the digestive juices working as people settled themselves with rugs and picnic baskets to wait for the official entertainment. The evening was filled with the sound of carols and the joy of children dancing and playacting on the green. Students from the Kendall Public School and the preschool performed in front of a receptive audience with energetic and happy Christmas songs and of course Santa arrived on the back of his modern reindeer - the Men's Shed ute - much to the children's delight.
There's never anything quite like the warmth and enjoyment one gets being involved in a small community production and at Christmas time the spirit of joy and goodwill seems to be particularly strong. Everybody has a hand in something and everybody is supportive. Donations received this year will go to The Kendall Public School Breakfast Club - a very special need for some of our young school children. Thank you all for caring and sharing.
