The Laurieton United Services Club presents a show for the kids featuring tributes to two of the biggest female pop stars of this age.
The Australian Katy Perry and Taylor Swift Show will hit the state at 4pm Wednesday December 28.
When the Spice Girls conquered the planet in the early 1990s, no one thought this would ever be repeated. Then in 2006 along came the phenomenon of Taylor Swift gradually building with a string of hits over ten years from a modest country music singer into the biggest female pop star on the planet.
In 2008 another female pop star emerged in the form of Katy Perry. Out of the blue but not overnight, they became two of the biggest female acts of all time who swept the world with multiple multi-million selling albums, hits on every continent and massive grossing tours and popularity on a world scale.
Fast forward to 2015 when a Sydney school teacher and musical director got together to produce a show that was both interactive and entertaining, marketed to children and young people. What better vehicle, they thought, than the music of these two superstars?
And so it was born the Australian Katy Perry and Taylor Swift Show .
The show features a live band so that every song is reproduced live on stage, two vocalists who each present one of the artists, prizes, giveaways for kids and best of all the artists make themselves accessible with a meet and greet at the end so everyone gets to meet and be photographed with their idol.
