Lynette Turner and her daughters, Erin McCudden and Cherie Kershaw, have a passion for acting together in shows, with pantomimes being where it all started,
“After that we all performed together in Little Shop of Horrors in 2011,” Lynette said.
“I have been performing for 25 years and I suppose you would say I am an 'all rounder' as I love to sing, act and dance.
“We all have busy lives and don't always have the opportunity for the three of us to get together at the one time so, being at rehearsal allows us to spend some time together while we are doing something we all love and it is such a fun environment, so we get to have a good laugh together.”
The biggest challenge at the moment is learning the songs as it is a very challenging musical according to Lynette.
Cherie started out doing drama eisteddfods at age six and said she always focused predominately on acting, even taking classes outside of school.
“I also did a course with NIDA and studied acting for screen and stage at university. I enjoy all aspects of performing on stage and sing and dance as well, but acting is what I love to do most,” she said.
Erin has been performing since she was 10 and is a highly talented singer and performer.
“I grew up training in singing and dance, and progressed into solely training as a singer, and still do occasionally,” she said.
“Rehearsing and spending a lot of time with my mother and sister is incredible. We all work so well together, take each others advice and criticism, and make ourselves better performers.
“Being able to walk on stage as a family, and seeing each other enjoy every moment of what we do, as a team, makes up for all the hard work.”
The show runs from May 12 until June 4 at the Players Theatre in Port Macquarie.
