Because of the heritage status of Kendall Railway Station building, which is over 102 years old, the repainting will be carried out by State Rail contractors in the original colour scheme.
The craft shop will be closing for a week from Sunday 26th February to Sunday 5th March, both dates inclusive to allow the painters to move in and complete their restoration of the premises.
Kendall Craft Co-op members will be working hard on both Sundays – removing all stock and fittings to enable the repainting and then restocking the shop in readiness for re-opening on Monday 6th March.
The Craft Co-op has been established in Kendall Railway Station for over 25 years. The facilities and garden are maintained by Craft Co-op members as part of their tenancy and they are looking forward to resuming activities from Monday 6th March in sparkling fresh surroundings.
