The Redbacks will play teams from the local region on Wednesday nights. Interest is already building with former players relishing the chance to put the boots back on.
“The men who have signed up so far are keen to get back out on the field without the high level of intensity of premier league football,” team manager Ryan Barker said.
“We’ve had a couple of casual Sunday afternoon runs, where the guys come down for a bit of fun, and that’s what this team will be about.”
The team will test their abilities in the coming fortnight for the Vikings six-a-side challenge in Tuncurry.
“We’re looking forward to it. There will be plenty of subs, as we plan to have throughout the season.”
Anyone interested in joining can contact Ryan Barker on 0431 775 169.
