The LUSC sponsored Camden Haven third grade cricket team batted first and posted 181.
“Where the top order failed, the rest of the side dug deep and gave great support,” said Haven’s Nev Raccani. “Ben Cole with 57, Lindsay with his usual 30-something and Tim Taylor with 27.”
The Swoopers only managed 37 overs by 3.30pm. Good bowling and fielding had the Swoopers at four for 60 at drinks. The Havens piled on the pressure until the end leaving the opposition some 30 runs short. Bowling honours went to Ben Cole two for six off eight overs and Tim Taylor with four well-celebrated wickets, and Jake Otto chipped in with one costly one.
“Every now and then this great game provides us with moments we never forget, well, you had to be there to believe the catch taken by Lindsay Dennis,” Raccani said.
