Whilst Australia produces emissions when generating electricity, what has been conveniently forgotten is that Australia with its vast land mass and carbon absorbing plants, actually absorbs more emissions than it produces.
Scientists and politicians know this and can’t dispute this.
Having travelled to some of the big emitting countries, I am confident in saying that Australia does not have an emissions problem and has nothing to be ashamed of, and nothing to fix – as many would have us believe.
Australia is being set up for economic and social failure with the headlong rush to more expensive alternative generation of electricity.
While global warming and emissions are issues, man made or otherwise, I consider the world has a bigger problem, which was aptly put by Sir David Attenborough: “Instead of controlling the environment for the benefit of the population, perhaps it’s tome to control the population to allow for the survival of the environment.”
