The driver of a Toyota 4Runner crashed into a power pole on The Parade North Haven, taking out electricity supply to hundreds of homes east of the Ocean Drive roundabout.

The crash happened at about 11pm Thursday March 9. Police, fire and paramedic crews attended.
The driver, a 27-year-old North Haven man, was given a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading.
He was arrested and taken to Laurieton Police Station where he returned a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit, 0.174.
The man’s drivers’ licence was immediately suspended.
Electricity was restored to affected homes by mid-morning Friday March 10.
