The Kendall Tennis Club needed to do a fundraiser recently, so they approached the Kendall CWA about making lamingtons for them as the local branch is well-known throughout the district for their "lamos".
“Always a lot of fun to be had during the making, the ladies have it down to a fine art. The tennis club sold all the boxes quickly and we all agreed it may become an annual event. So nice to see local groups helping each other out,” said Gael Mackenzie, publicity officer CWA Mid North Coast Group & Kendall Branch.
“We welcomed visitors Carol and Fay to our May meeting. Sue spoke about the geography of Nepal, while Barbara brought along a nifty little booklet on garden escapees! No, not the gnomes, but garden plants that go feral in the bush.”
The next meeting will be incorporated into the excursion to Cattai Wetlands. Members are meeting at the wetland carpark at 10am Tuesday June 20. Bring lunch to share, binoculars, bird books etc. For more information contact secretary Di 6556 9753 or our Facebook page.
