The Pacific Highway map was developed by Roads and Maritime Services and gives information about current and completed projects between Sydney and Brisbane.
Member for Port Macquarie, Leslie Williams said work on the upgrade started in 1996 and is expected to be complete by 2020, weather permitting.
“The Pacific Highway stretches hundreds of kilometres and has been the talk of not only the north coast community, but also the thousands of drivers who use the road.
“The map can be used by anyone travelling between Hexham and the Queensland border wanting to know where work is being carried out,” Mrs Williams said.
“It also shows where rest stops and service stations are located, so motorists can better plan their trip and where they can expect to be driving on four lane divided road.”
About 70 per cent or 459 kilometres of the Pacific Highway upgrade is now complete, with another 161 kilometres currently being carried out.
“Work is progressing on the Oxley Highway to Kundabung, Kundabung to Kempsey and Warrell Creek to Nambucca Heads sections and also Woolgoolga to Ballina,” Mrs William said.
“People living in those communities can view this map and find out what the upgrade involves and when work is expected to be completed.
“The map is designed to be user friendly on hand held devices like mobile phones and tablets as well as desktop computers and so people can search by location,” Mrs Williams said.
The interactive map is available by visiting the Roads and Maritime website.
