People are advised to attend early if they wish to perform in the open mic which starts at 7pm. There are only six places for open mic and each person performs two numbers.
Rose has performed at the music exchange before with her multi-instrumental, curly-haired duo ‘Calliope’ with the inestimable Sally Jane.
This time Rose will be merrily singing, harping, and celloing with a variety of talented, local muso friends.
It is likely there will be some guitars, drums, harp, flute, uke, piano and a few other instruments in the mix.
Styles range from Missy Higgins to Irish folk tunes, from 70s pop, passing by a Mozart piano duet and to an original song with an accompanying dancer. All in various configurations of solos, duos and trios.
Guests include Sally Jane, Belinda Kennedy, Ruth Allen, Anita Frystak, Sofia Lord, Jess Shelly, Lydia Wills and Julie-Anne Thompson.
Kendall Community Hall doors open at 6.30pm. The first three open mic performances start at 7pm followed by the main performance part one.
There will be an intermission with tea, coffee and nibbles provided followed by the next three open mics and part two of the main performance.
Entry is by donation and Kendall Music Exchange operates as a not for profit community activity. For more information call Jill on 6584 8432
