Club president Jarryd Gaskin said it was a massive achievement.
“This is their first year playing together and most of them have never played rugby league before as they have come from soccer,” he said.
The team defeated Wauchope Red at Forster, Tuncurry on August 19.
The Camden Haven Eagles Junior Rugby League team will play the winner of the preliminary finals which is on August 26. They will either play Lake Cathie or Wauchope Blue.
The team has played Wauchope Blue before and they have won one game and lost the other.
They’ve played Lake Cathie twice before and won both times.
Coach Kaine Faddy said it’s important the players turn up with the right attitude.
“They have to be switched on and not get too excited which will be hard for them,” he said.
Mr Faddy said for most of the players it will their first time playing a grand final in any sport.
Mr Gaskin said he was very proud of all the players along with the club supporters, coaches and parents.
Mr Faddy and Mr Gaskin thanked Mick Eggins form Camden Haven Boxing for inviting the boys down for boxing training recently.
