On Saturday, September 30 Mr Smith said the beach hadn’t been overly busy but the members had definitely noticed a lot of holiday makers around.
Mr Smith said the club has 13 patrols who volunteer their time at the beach to keep everyone safe.
Surf lifesavers often build a rapport with people who choose Bonny Hills as their frequent holiday destination.
For safety Mr Smith said people should follow Surf Life Saving NSW’s message of swim between the flags, swim with someone else and take advice from the lifesavers.
Mr Smith said he expected the warm weather would continue to bring more people down to the beach.
He said they can expect safe swimming conditions between the flags.
