President Trevor Dickson said after the older members of the committee retired, there was a general consensus that more people would spread the load.
After weather intervened and forced the cancellation of the Junior Tour event last year, they were looking forward to hosting it again this year.
“We also started holding reciprocal racing events each month with our neighbours at the Manning Cycle Club,” Dickson said.
“We are aiming to build on the success of this racing moving forward.”
Dickson was excited about the future of up and coming cyclists such as Brandon Conway, Lachy Johns and Will Pender.
He was hopeful they would follow in the footsteps of Liam Magennis, Deb Hennessey, Lauren Kitchen and Angus and Lachy Morton.
“The club certainly realises how lucky it is to have had the chance to help nurture and support the many successful riders that have and continue to be members of our club,” he said.
“It is always pleasing to see juniors develop into senior athletes and do well and it is clear that we will continue to see this trend continue.”
Dickson said the club prided itself on creating a family-friendly environment that is welcoming to people of all ages.
“Our members range in age from five years old up to 82,” he said.
“Recreation rides are held once a month, road races are held during the winter months and criterion racing is about to commence for the summer period on our very own track.”
Racing starts on October 24.
