The 69th Camden Haven Show
Kendall Show Ground
October 14 - 15
From pig racing to dodgem cars, pups to snow cones, cattle judging to chainsaw races - the Camden Haven Show has it all.
The show is one of the largest and most popular events in the area.
It brings together the Camden Haven community and presents a unique opportunity for the locals to showcase their wide variety of expertise and talent through displays and exhibits.
The two days are crammed full of events and as an added bonus Knackered, a four-piece local band will play Pop, Rock, Blues and Country on Saturday night.
Bring the kids along, they will love meeting all the animals.
There will be an educational live reptile show, as well as a dog show and petting farm.
Noah’s Racing pigs are as cute as it gets.
History of the Show
The Show’s long and proud history can be traced back to 1931 when a motion was carried to form a Junior Farmers Club at Kendall.
A show was held at the school the following autumn but it was nine years before the next show was held. It was in the midst of World War II, despite many difficulties, the community rallied together to bring together a great show.
In 1944, 30 acres of land was purchased, at the princely sum of ten pounds per acre. Two acres were later added from the Smith Estate on the northern end.
This land became the Kendall Show Ground that we know and love today and is still one of only five privately owned showgrounds in New South Wales. Today the Kendell Showground is home to regular equestrian events, a men’s shed, a pony club, a boxing club, markets and the Kendall Blues Football club.
