The meeting is on Wednesday, October 18 at 5.30pm at the Laurieton School of Arts Hall, corner Bold and Laurie Streets.
Changing the venue for council meetings forms part of the ‘Taking Council to the Community’ program, providing greater community access to meetings and engagement in decision making processes.
“We’re keen to ensure that all members of the community have access to meetings and engagement opportunities so that councillor’s will continue to be available to receive feedback on important local matters,” said Mayor Peta Pinson.
“Along with our community engagement meetings, holding meetings in various locations allows for greater community access to address council and to hear discussions and decisions on matters affecting our community”.
The agenda for the meeting will be available on council’s website pmhc.nsw.gov.au/councilmeetings from Friday, October 13 or can be viewed from Monday, October 16 at council offices and libraries.
Residents can also address council on agenda items or in the public forum for items not listed on the formal agenda. Anyone wishing to address council will be required to complete and submit the appropriate forms no later than 4.30pm on Tuesday, October 17.
Forms are available at pmhc.nsw.gov.au/councilmeetings or at Council Customer Service Centres.
Alternatively people can call 6581 8111 and a customer service assistant will complete the form over the phone.
